How do I get started with Winnow Consulting?

We start with a 15 minute introductory conversation. Please contact me via the form on the Home page OR email info@winnow-consulting.com OR call 0477 037 177.

We will discuss your needs and I will recommend which package I think best suits you, discuss pricing, send you a quote and give you a sense for what it’s like to talk to me. Then the ball is in your court to decide how you'd like to proceed.

How are the sessions run?

I’m based in Sydney Australia but will work with clients in any location.

Sessions are held via Google Meets which is a video calling platform.

The sessions are paced according to your needs - I am flexible. Some people like to do the sessions quickly over a few weeks while others spread them out.

The sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long and there can be activities to complete between sessions.

How much does it cost?

My service does not compete on price so if you want a budget offering I'm not the right person for you. However, in saying that I represent good value for money because my service is efficient, high quality and tailored.

I'll share pricing details in our introductory call.

Is it worth the money?

One of my finance professors at Harvard said  “You are your biggest asset. Investing in yourself gives you the best returns.”

Spending on career coaching is money well spent because it’s an investment in knowing yourself and equipping yourself to be purposeful about the life you want to lead.

It will also make you more efficient. You won’t waste time, money and effort wondering what to do OR doing further study / a job that wasn't the best for you.

What outcomes can I expect?

The outcomes vary because clients vary – here’s a flavour for what you may get out of the work:

  • Feeling hopeful and confident about your future

  • Understanding the themes in your career so far

  • Distilling your strengths, values and interests from a range of career and life experiences

  • Being able to discuss your career needs with your family or manager

  • Identifying what exactly makes you unhappy and happy in your current job

  • Exploring what is holding you back from change

  • Developing options for the future

  • Developing action plans for how to move forward

  • Refining your pitch communication tools

  • Making a big decision confidently based on what matters to you

  • Feeling accountable for action

  • Feeling confident and purposeful as a manager

What else should I know before engaging with you?

  • I have three packages on offer but am willing to tailor my services to suit your needs if the packages aren't a fit for your situation

  • All the people I've worked with feel better after speaking with me

  • I offer career coaching to people with 5+ years of work experience. I prefer not to service school leavers because my approach is based on self understanding from lived experience.

  • You need time and thinking space to get the most from working with me.

  • There aren't quick answers. I don't do vocational career quizzes that match you with a list of job options.

Winnow means to remove chaff from grain by blowing air.  My process aims to help people distill what matters to them most and what they are best at – their grain so to speak – to help them move forward with clarity and confidence.
